In the fall of 2021, Local ATU 1724 President, Mark Becching embarked upon a renewed commitment to equity, inclusion, and diversity at the workplace. 

After 6 months period of intense planning, training and acquiring experience during and after the formation of Vancouver Labour District Council Anti Systemic Racism Committee, we along with dedicated enthusiastic members of the union have established  our own committee for the purpose of advancing Equity, Inclusion and Diversity at our workplace.

We have and continue to hear from many voices during this process. Both the contributions of groups and individuals have been essential in helping guide the EID process towards creative and successful outcomes
